BOTANICAL DESCRIPTIONS 

Habit :  
Drypetes longifolia or Lidah-lidah is an evergreen tree growing up to 32 meter tall. The bole can be up to 76 cm in diameterand twigs are hollow which are inhabited by stinging ants. It is harvested from the wild for local use as food. A cone shape tree with identifiable shiny reddish young leaves. Often planted as an ornamental along city streets and public parks.
