BOTANICAL DESCRIPTIONS 

Habit :  

Elasteriospermum tapos or Perah is a tall, handsome tree, growing up to 27 m tall. The leaves are brownish-red when young,becoming light green and dark green later. The trees are known for its edible seed. The raw seeds is poisonous (contains cyanide) but can be neutralised by thorough cooking.
