Habit :
Cynometra malaccensis or known as Kekatong ,is a tree of 20-40 m tall. The species has a dense crown and few subcrowns. The wood is harvested from the wild, for local use. The new foliage is pink to pale green when young and becomes green. The pink foliage is often misunderstood as the flowers from far, and provides graceful scenery. The fruits are flats when young.
