Peltophorum pterocarpum is a large tree,exceeding 50 m tall.The species,which also known as Jemerlang laut in Malaysia,is a popular ornamental tree grown around the world.Its large size makes it a wonderful specimen for landscaping. The tree is also used in shelterbelts due to its dense,spreading crown.The yellow flowers give a pleasant fragrance.
