BOTANICAL DESCRIPTIONS 

Habit :  
Mesua ferrea or penaga lilin is an  evergreen tree that can grow up to 30 m tall. The leaves are colourful , of beautiful pink to red flush drooping when young and later becoming greyish-green waxy when old.The white and yellow flowers are fragrant. It is widely cultivated as an ornamental in Asia due to its graceful shape.The tree also can be planted as hedges, and sometimes as an avenue tree.
