Habit :
Garcinia atroviridis is a tree that grows up to 20 m tall. The branches and leaves are drooping. The flowers are dark red. The fruits are globular, green when young, and becoming yellow to orange when ripe. The fruit is edible and has an extremely sour taste and usually used in cooking and for medicinal purposes.
