BOTANICAL DESCRIPTIONS 

Habit :  

Flacourtia inermis or Rukam is a small or bushy tree with a rounded crown. The leaves are in spiral arrangement, usually hanging down from the branches.The flowers have greenish yellow sepals with no petals. The cherry red fruit is edible. The trees are planted in gardens and parks for its attractive orange-red young foliage and fruits.
