Habit :  
Sterculia foetida is a medium sized,straight tree,growing up to 40 m tall.The trees are often planted as ornamentals, despite the unpleasant odour of their crimson flowers.The fruits are orange to reddish-orange,set in 2 to 5star-like clusters,hanging on stalks and can be seen from far. In dry weather, the tall and handsome tree stands out among the surroundings,This species is planted as a quick growing shade tree.
